A little dramatic and sensationalist at times, but over all a good watch. War time design.

Stop designing chairs! A new design manifesto.

The Pet Bed is inspired by the architecture of Sou Fujimoto. Fujimoto describes his houses as Nests or Caves - the most basic form of shelter.  His designs are focused on connecting the inside with the outside by letting light penetrate the building through expansive windows.  Drawing on this we created a Pet Bed that is more like a house: a private shelter that gives the sense of enclosure while still being open and light, for your cats comfort and enjoyment. Cushions not pictured were remove-able and washable.

For all the photographers, graphic designers and web designers out there: TinEye is a reverse image search engine that uses image recognition software to track down that same image from other sources.

Les choses ne sont pas difficiles à faire, ce qui est difficile, c’est de nous mettre en état de les faire.

Contracts are absolutely necessary, period.

I’d just like to add something that takes place in the stages leading up to the delivery of the contract agreement.

Get to know your client on a personal level, talk to them. When I say talk, I don’t mean that you need to talk more about the project. Talk to them about their work, their hobbies - joke around with them. If you can befriend them, it’ll be much easier to work together. Not to mention that you’ll have created a valuable contact that could, someday, help you down the road.

So, if by this point you’ve come to the conclusion that you and your potential client aren’t seeing eye to eye, maybe take that as a sign to rethink the project.
